Sesame Street
1969-present | Children | USA | Created by Joan Ganz Cooney and Lloyd Morrisett
Overview
Sunny days since 1969: education research plus Muppets plus advertising techniques equaled the most studied children show in history. Jim Henson built Big Bird, Oscar, Ernie, and Bert. The inner city setting was deliberate: letters and kindness for every kid with a television. A record Emmy haul and co-productions in dozens of countries. Can you tell me how to get there.
