Mister Rogers Neighborhood
1968-2001 | Children | USA | Created by Fred Rogers
Overview
Fred Rogers, an ordained minister, spoke directly to one child at a time about feelings, death, divorce, and why he wore the same cardigan. 895 episodes of trolley, the Neighborhood of Make Believe, and radical gentleness. His 1969 Senate testimony saved PBS funding in six minutes. The kindest show ever made, and still the standard for children television.
