The X-Files
1993-2002 | Sci-Fi | USA | Created by Chris Carter
Overview
The truth is out there: Mulder believes, Scully doubts, and the government lies. Carter balanced mythology arcs with monster of the week episodes. Nine seasons, two films, and a 2016 revival. Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny chemistry as engine. The paranoid style mainstreamed: conspiracy culture meets procedure. I want to believe hung in every dorm room. Trust no one.
