The Six Million Dollar Man
1973-1978 | Sci-Fi | USA | Created by Kenneth Johnson, from Martin Caidin
Overview
Steve Austin, astronaut, rebuilt better, stronger, faster, with a bionic eye and an opening titles sequence that did the exposition. Lee Majors as the calmest cyborg in television. The bionic woman spinoff beat it in the ratings. Slow motion running with electronic sound became the gag of a decade. Based on a novel that was not remotely for children.
