St Elsewhere
1982-1988 | Drama | USA | Created by Joshua Brand and John Falsey
Overview
St Eligius, a decaying Boston teaching hospital, and the staff who fail more than they win. From the MTM school of ensemble realism that gave the world Hill Street Blues. Killed off major characters without warning, invented the season long arc for dramas, and ended on the most famous final image in television: the snow globe. Howie Mandel and Denzel Washington got their starts here.
