Dragon Ball Z
1989-1996 | Animation | Japan | Created by Akira Toriyama
Overview
The sequel that conquered the world: Goku grows up, Saiyans arrive, and battles stretch across entire seasons of powering up. Akira Toriyamas manga turned martial arts into mythology, and the Saban and Toonami airings made anime mainstream in the West. The Kai remake, video games, and memes keep it generational. Over 9000! is a permanent internet monument.
