Porridge
1974-1977 | Comedy | UK | Created by Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais
Overview
Ronnie Barker as Fletcher, a professional criminal serving a stretch in Slade Prison and treating it like a career opportunity. Written for Barker, the tightest comic actor of his generation, with Richard Beckinsale as the naive cellmate. Only three series and 20 episodes, every one a classic. N-n-n-nervous? The Ealing comedy of sitcoms: warm, sharp, and forever rewatchable.
