Leave It to Beaver
1957-1963 | Comedy | USA | Created by Joe Connelly and Bob Mosher
Overview
The Cleavers of Mayfield: Ward, June, Wally, and the Beaver, childhood rendered as a gentle moral fable. Told from the kids point of view, which was the innovation. The pilot was bought by a sponsor who thought it was too sweet and shelved it for a year. Survived in reruns forever after, the default image of 1950s suburbia, for better and worse.
