Get Smart
1965-1970 | Comedy | USA | Created by Mel Brooks and Buck Henry
Overview
Would you believe: a spy spoof where the shoe phone outranks the gun. Brooks and Henry wrote the Cold War absurd, Don Adams played Maxwell Smart with deadpan incompetence, Barbara Feldon played Agent 99 with competence. Missed it by that much. Five seasons and Emmys for Adams. The Cone of Silence entered meeting rooms everywhere. Every spy parody since is in its debt.
