Fawlty Towers
1975-1979 | Comedy | UK | Created by John Cleese and Connie Booth
Overview
Twelve episodes only: Basil Fawlty, Torquay hotelier at war with his guests, his wife Sybil, and Manuel from Barcelona. Cleese and Booth, then married, wrote farce at diamond density. The Germans episode, the hotel inspectors, and the rat among the biscuits. The British Film Institute rated it the best British sitcom ever. Do not mention the war.
